Lighting rugby stadiums fields should be carried out in accordance with established regulations. There are a number of standards in sports coverage – they regulate the requirements for the coverage of the rugby fields.

Linear football lighting systems include the installation of floodlights along the long sides of the field on the visor above the stands, or on specially provided for this purpose designs. Solid or made up of separate groups of projectors line ensures the desired visual conditions and requirements of television. The depth of the shadows in the system also decreases. The limiting condition is the placement of lights and the glare produced. The disadvantages of this system include high cost lighting installations.
In the design of each of these lighting systems must be avoided on the shadows of the peaks stands.

Many believe that rugby was born in 1823 when William Webb Ellis “with fine disregard for the rules of football (note that football was yet to split into the various codes) as played in his time at Rugby school, first took the ball in his arms and ran with it, thus originating the distinctive feature of the Rugby game”.
